Tyee Wine Cellars Opens April 1st

Flood Update - Yes we are Open - Greenberry Road between us and HW99 is flooded with High Water so please access our place via Bellfountain Road.

History has it that April Fools Day grew out of an age-old European tradition of Spring festivals and celebrating the New Year.  In the mid 1500's France decided to switch to the Roman calendar, putting New Years on January 1.   News of the change traveled slowly in those days, and many people, especially in the rural areas, continued to celebrate New Year in the Spring.  Those country dwellers became known as "April Fools."

In honor of April, the heralding of a New Year of budding Spring and new vintages being bottled in our cellar, Tyee invites you to celebrate with us.  We will be Open from Noon to 5:00pm with winetasting, refreshing appetizers, a celebration of Spring and a fools drawing for special discounts.

April is just the beginning.  Tyee's Tasting Room is Open from April thru December for Extended Weekend Hours from Noon to 5pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays for Winetasting and Sales, as well as hiking and picnicking on the Buchanan Family Century Farm.
