Slow Food Corvallis presents a Dinner Event centered around portraits of Ladies in the Fields. Artist, Rebecca Waterhouse met with local women farmers to paint them and create the Ladies in the Fields Portrait Series. The Dinner will honor the Artist and her subjects.

The portraits are of Women Farmers concentrated in the Mid-Willamette Valley producing foods for the local Oregon market while incorporating sustainable, organic and biodynamic practices. Slow Food Corvallis and Chef Heidi Tunnell will feature the products of these local women farmers in the Family Style Dinner. Includes Horse Drawn Wagon Rides and More.

Thursday, August 9th At Tyee Wine Cellars on the Buchanan Family Century Farm

Cost per person: $65 (includes wine tasting, dinner, horse-drawn wagon tours, and gratuity)
Wagon Tours: 5:30-9:00pm (except during dinner)

Tyee Wine Cellars and the Buchanan Family Century Farm will be Open Noon to 5pm, Friday August 31 - Monday Sept 3, 2012 for Labor Day Weekend and to celebrate the Bounty of Benton County.

Taste, Picnic and Hike at Tyee Wine Cellars this weekend. Tyee will be open from noon to 5pm each day. We offer wine tasting and sales, with a special price reduction for Bounty Passport holders. Tyee's Beaver Pond Loop trail is open for family hikes and there is plenty of room under cover for families to bring picnics or games and relax on Tyee's Buchanan Family Century Farm.

Greenbelt Land Trust's musical evening at Tyee Wine Cellars. A quintet of principle players from the Willamette Valley Symphony ("No Strings Attached"), will be playing for this benefit event. Bring your blanket and a picnic, and sample some of Tyee's award-winning wines! A restoration tour of Tyee and the Buchanan Family Century Farm hosted by landowner Dave Buchanan will take place during intermission.
