Tyee Wine Cellars and the Buchanan Family Century Farm will be Open Noon to 5pm, Friday August 31 - Monday Sept 3, 2012 for Labor Day Weekend and to celebrate the Bounty of Benton County.

Taste, Picnic and Hike at Tyee Wine Cellars this weekend. Tyee will be open from noon to 5pm each day. We offer wine tasting and sales, with a special price reduction for Bounty Passport holders. Tyee's Beaver Pond Loop trail is open for family hikes and there is plenty of room under cover for families to bring picnics or games and relax on Tyee's Buchanan Family Century Farm.

Greenbelt Land Trust's musical evening at Tyee Wine Cellars. A quintet of principle players from the Willamette Valley Symphony ("No Strings Attached"), will be playing for this benefit event. Bring your blanket and a picnic, and sample some of Tyee's award-winning wines! A restoration tour of Tyee and the Buchanan Family Century Farm hosted by landowner Dave Buchanan will take place during intermission. Supper at SAGE is a benefit dinner for the SAGE garden and the Farm to School program!

When: Saturday, September 15th, 2012 from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm
Where: The SAGE Garden and Bruce Starker Amphitheater at SW 45th Place and Country Club Drive

Celebrate a season in the garden this September! Supper at SAGE is our second annual benefit dinner. The evening begins with appetizers, cider tasting, and tours of the garden. At 5.30 guests are seated in the nearby pavilion to enjoy a fresh, seasonal dinner prepared by chef JC Mersmann of Gathering Together Farm, with wine by Tyee Wine Cellars! There will be live music throughout the evening and guests will have the opportunity to learn about how our programs provide healthy local produce and sustainable education to our community.

Coastal Farm to Fork: A Harvest Meal at Forks Farm

Join Ten Rivers Food Web and the Lincoln County Foods Group for a farm to fork dinner on Sunday, September 16th at 3pm. We will be hosted by Forks Farm in Yachats, located at 8 North Yachats River Road.

The dinner will feature a delicious array of seasonal foods from the Ten Rivers foodshed’s best farms, fisheries, bakeries and more. The dinner buffet includes: crudités and breadsticks with a lemon ricotta dip, grilled Albacore with pesto sauce, grilled Italian sausage locally grown and produced, grilled polenta with a roasted tomato-herb sauce, roasted potatoes with fresh herbs, sourdough seeded batards, an Italian chopped salad of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, celery and oregano and a heirloom bean salad with herb vinaigrette. Dessert will be ice cream with stone-fruit compote and a crisp hazelnut cookie.

Beer from Rusty Truck Brewing Co. and wine from Tyee Wine Cellars will be available for purchase.
